Our Content Philosophy

The vast majority of our wallpaper library consists of works from the public domain — classical paintings, historical photographs, and artwork for which copyright has expired. We make every reasonable effort to verify the public domain status of content before publishing it.

What Makes a Valid DMCA Notice

Under Section 512(c)(3) of the DMCA, a valid takedown notification must include all of the following:

• A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner (or an authorized representative).
• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
• The direct URL of the infringing material on our site, with enough detail for us to locate it.
• Your contact information — name, address, phone number, and email address.
• A good faith statement that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
